Multimodal hemoadsorption cartridges for the adjunctive treatment of sepsis and septic shock, including a dedicated paediatric system.
Efferon develops sorbent cartridges that remove endotoxin and a broad spectrum of inflammatory cytokines in a single pass. The sorbent chemistry is multimodal, meaning one cartridge addresses both the bacterial trigger and the host mediators rather than requiring separate therapies.
Cartridges can be run on a standalone blood pump or integrated into an existing CRRT or ECMO circuit, which allows units to introduce the therapy without new capital equipment. Efferon NEO is designed specifically for paediatric patients, with circuit volume and flow characteristics matched to children.
