MedXpert engineers rigid fixation systems specifically for the thorax, where implants must tolerate continuous respiratory loading. The StraTos bridge system stabilises ribs and the sternum after fracture, resection or sternotomy, and StraCos clips provide fixation options across a range of rib geometries.
Rigid fixation of flail chest and complex rib fractures is associated with earlier mobilisation and reduced ventilation requirements compared with conservative management in appropriately selected patients, making implant design and instrumentation a practical clinical concern rather than a preference.
