Ultrasonic surgery and wound debridement

Söring

Sonoca ultrasonic platforms for tissue-selective dissection in open and laparoscopic surgery, and for ultrasound-assisted wound debridement.

Söring's ultrasonic systems use high-frequency mechanical energy rather than heat as the primary mechanism. In parenchymal surgery this fragments soft tissue while sparing more elastic structures such as vessels and bile ducts, with integrated irrigation and aspiration keeping the plane visible.

In wound care, ultrasound-assisted debridement combines mechanical cleansing with cavitation effects that disrupt biofilm, allowing wound bed preparation with less collateral damage to viable tissue than sharp debridement alone.

A range of sonotrodes covers open, laparoscopic and wound-care applications on the same platform.
