About this product
MedLED Spectra puts the light source where the surgeon is looking. Overhead theatre lights are easily shadowed by heads, hands and retractors; a head-mounted coaxial beam follows the line of sight into deep cavities and stays aligned throughout the case.
The system pairs a high-CRI LED module with a balanced headband designed to spread weight across the skull rather than loading the forehead, which matters over long reconstructive and cardiothoracic lists.
Spot size and intensity are adjustable, so the same headlight suits fine work in a narrow field and broader illumination for open procedures. Battery packs are hot-swappable, allowing continuous use across back-to-back cases.

- Charge batteries fully before first use and rotate packs to preserve battery life.
- Clean optics with lens-safe wipes only; solvents damage coatings.
- Position the light module so the beam centre matches the working distance before draping.
- Sterile disposable covers should be used where the unit enters the sterile field.
- Check cable strain relief regularly — cable damage is the most common service issue.
